Super fundraising effort

Bollon students eagerly participated in Jump Rope for Heart Activities in 2010. Recently the school has been advised that Bollon students raised the third highest amount of money per student in Queensland. What a tremendous effort from the students and generosity from the Bollon community to support students in their fundraising efforts.

In total, our 10 students of 2010 raised an impressive $995, just short of $1000, which means they raised on average $99.50 each, the third highest in all of Queensland.

Of course the “Jump Off Day” was held in conjunction with the Athletics Fun Day and Healthy Brunch to promote an entire day of being active and eating good healthy foods, not just at school but in the wider Bollon community. The involvement of the Healthy Ageing group in this day was tremendous and we thank the P&C for putting together this initiative.

This year we shall definitely be aiming for $100 per student to contribute toward fighting Heart Disease.
